Youth movements are an incredible way to say involved and have fun with friends. Jewish youth movements empower and engage their participants to be active in the community and look to make a difference in the world....


There are a multitude of volunteering opportunities within the Jewish community for high school students, university students and beyond.

Photography Project 2019

Entries in the 2019 Y2i/UIA Photography Project covered the country from north to south and the weather from sunny, raining and snowing. The Judges' Prize went to Dovi Romm for his photo "The Man in the Rain" and Noa Gold won the Social Media Prize for her photo "Holy Sunrise".

Y2i Day 2019

Y2i Day 2019 was the first time that participants from all five Y2i supported programs were together. 320 students heard from Chris Cannan, Australian Ambassador to Israel, and Charlotte Korchak from StandWithUs. The first night of Chanukah was celebrated with Chanukiah lighting, donuts, singing and dancing.

On their return from this life-changing experience, the students are different, more self-aware, better educated and more inclined to be involved in the local community.

Photography Project 2018

Fun, friends and food were some of the common themes of entries into the 2018 Y2i/UIA Photography Project. Congratulations to Ran Ashkenazi for "Reflection on water of the Dead Sea" which won the Judges' Prize, Jesse Waller for "Flames of Israel", the winner of the Donors' Prize and Jayden Diamond who won the People's Choice Award for "The Fall of Tyrone".

Supporters Thank You Event 2019

The Boyarskys again hosted Y2i supporters, this time to hear from 2018 program participants and madrichim and enjoy viewing the entries in the 2018 Y2i/UIA Photography Project.

Y2i Day 2018

The focus of Y2i Day 2018 was Israeli innovators and their global impact. 329 students heard from by Australian Ambassador to Israel, Chris Cannan and participated in a panel discussion with Israid, Siftech and MobileODT. The Masa Gap Year fair and Israeli themed activities were enjoyed by all.

The first students to benefit from the Y2i vouchers are now becoming contributing members of the local Jewish community.

Photography Project 2017

2017 was the inaugural year of the Y2i/UIA Photography Project. Students were encouraged to take thought-provoking and interesting photos of their Israel experiences to be in the running for three prizes. The Judges' Prize went to Joshua Dinkin for his photo "The Highlight of the Trip", Sarah Miller was awarded the Donors' Prize for her photo "Walking on Water" and Mikalya Edelman took out the People's Choice Award for "Sunrise, Sunset".
